An impressive late 19th-century French bronze sculpture depicting a charming Baroque putto seated upon a classical pedestal and presenting a finely rendered tulip. Executed with exceptional attention to detail, the figure displays beautifully modeled anatomy, expressive facial features, and delicately rendered curls, conveying the lively elegance characteristic of the Baroque tradition.

The putto holds the flowering tulip prominently before him, creating a particularly refined and symbolic composition. In European decorative arts, the tulip became closely associated with luxury, rarity, wealth, and cultivated taste, making its inclusion especially appropriate in an object intended to express elegance and status.

The richly patinated bronze surface enhances the sculptural modeling and gives the figure a warm, historic character. The sculpture is mounted on a substantial marble base, providing both stability and an elegant architectural presentation.

with its impressive scale, sophisticated modeling, and strong decorative presence, this sculpture would make an outstanding focal point in a distinguished interior, particularly within a classical, Neoclassical, or eclectic setting.

A highly decorative example of French late 19th-century bronze sculpture, combining the playful character of the Baroque putto with the enduring symbolism of the tulip.
