A finely executed religious painting depicting Christ Bound, showing Jesus crowned with thorns and presented alongside two soldiers. The intimate composition focuses on the suffering and dignity of Christ, with particular attention given to the expressive faces and carefully rendered figures.

Painted in oil on an oak panel, the work demonstrates the refined handling of light, colour, and human expression characteristic of European religious painting of the 17th century. The restrained dark background further emphasizes the figures and lends the composition a dramatic and devotional atmosphere.

The expressive depiction of Christ, combined with the detailed rendering of the soldiers' features and garments, gives the painting a strong emotional and spiritual presence. An attractive example of European religious art, suitable for collectors of sacred painting and historic devotional works.
