This striking pair of vintage cast stone garden statues captures the understated elegance and noble form of reclining greyhounds. Modeled in a classical recumbent pose (couchant), each dog rests atop a integrated, rounded plinth base with front paws extended gracefully forward and tails neatly curled along their hams.
Crafted with fine attention to detail, the figures feature lean, athletic physiques, defined ribcages, subtle muscular contouring, and collared necks. Each statue bears the maker's mark "LUCAS" subtly impressed near the rear of the base. Over time, the cast stone has developed a rich, weathered patina featuring natural tonal variations, subtle distressing, and earthy distressing that enhances their authentic antique character.
Perfect for framing a grand entryway, flanking garden steps, accenting a terrace, or anchoring a formal courtyard, these statues bring timeless architectural presence and sophistication to both classical and contemporary outdoor settings.
