The front of the bureau displays a gorgeous, rich mahogany patination that warms the home interior.

The fall front to the bureau can be held open by the two smooth hinged supports that opens as the desk is opened.
There is a key present that will lock the drop front and the drawers shut, to keep the interior safe.

The desk interior opens to a leather writing desk worktop that has been embossed with a design. The interior has 7 pigeon holes, and two side drawers, perfect for storing documents and books.

The front of the bureau has a small upper drawer, with two larger, lower graduating drawers.
All of the drawers are finished with figured metal drop handles, and a raised lip surrounding the drawers.

This writing desk standing proudly on 4 cabriole legs, with carved shell knee caps and pad feet.

Overall, this Vintage Writing Bureau is in great condition, with minor signs of use and veneer wear (as photographed), as to be expected from an item with years of age.
There are minor signs of wear to the leather top (see photographs).
