It has been newly rewired.

globes of this type were a defining light of the 1970s, blown in many sizes and color pairings and sold across europe under several names; labeled examples are known from sila and arredalux in italy and from massive in belgium. The name most often attached to them is av mazzega, the murano firm whose opaline and colored-glass fixtures, many designed by carlo nason, are widely collected today. This example carries no maker’s label, so we offer it in the style of av mazzega rather than as a documented piece.

dimensions listed are just for the main part of the light, not including the chain and rosette.
