An Italian rattan dome pendant made in the manner of Gabriella Crespi, the Milanese designer whose 1970s bamboo and cane pieces carried garden materials into smart city interiors. It is not by Crespi and we do not attribute it to her; it belongs to the wider Italian taste her work defined. The shade is entirely original: rattan wound in tight concentric rings from crown to rim, aged unevenly to pale honey in some rings and deep tobacco in others, with the nodes and small dark marks of natural cane.
We have newly rewired it for safety with a new socket and a new rise-and-fall mechanism in the same manner and material as the original. The drop adjusts between about 27.5 in. and 55 in.
