This hand-carved and decorated wooden sofa from the mid-19th century captures timeless French elegance. Featuring a graceful curved back, intricate floral carvings in the Louis XV taste, cabriole legs, and a scalloped apron, it embodies the romance of French provincial design. The scroll feet and soft silhouette also suit a Hamptons-style interior.
The light velvet upholstery is in excellent, supple condition, beautifully contrasting the rich walnut frame—whose grain and finish are absolutely stunning. The springs remain firm, and the solid structure is in perfect working order.
A matching lounge chair and dining armchair are also available. Both echo the Reine style, with charming floral ornamentation on the back and legs. A rare opportunity to acquire a coordinated set of French antique seating with museum-worthy presence and everyday comfort.
