Crafted from solid pine, the design is defined by its warm, vibrant grain and masterfully executed, flush wood joints. Aksel Kjersgaard was considered a perfectionist of Danish furniture making; his small furniture pieces and hallway collections, produced in Odder, enjoy cult status among connoisseurs worldwide for their functional clarity and subtle elegance. The wall unit boasts a wonderfully ingenious construction: concealed within the body is a smoothly gliding drawer – the ideal hiding place for keys, coins, or a glasses case in the entryway. On the back, the authentic manufacturer's stamp/branding mark of Aksel Kjersgaard Odder confirms its Danish provenance. The set has been gently cleaned and the pine wood surfaces treated with fine oil.
