A delightful mid-century modern art glass miniature bird figurine designed by master glassblower Archimede Seguso on the island of Murano, Italy. This exceptional piece features a vibrant cobalt blue body contrasting beautifully against a crisp opaque white underbelly.
The bird's head and neatly ribbed tail are sculpted from rich black glass, accented by a tiny canary-yellow beak. Its wings are meticulously detailed with a classic Murano lampwork layered application, displaying stylized white and bright orange-yellow concentric circular patterns.
This highly collectible sculpture retains its original authentic, scalloped red-and-gold foil export label on the base reading: "Archimede Seguso - Murano - Made in Italy."
