SCULPTURAL FORM, NATURAL STONE

The Restoration Hardware Thaddeus Collection, designed by Julie Lawrence, draws inspiration from the sculptural works of artists such as Salvador Dalí and Diego Giacometti, balancing refined geometry with expressive material texture.

A solid Italian Carrara marble top rests above a hand-forged metal base, where slender tapered bars cross in a minimalist architectural frame. Each metal element is individually hammered by artisans, producing an organic, living surface rich with character.

The weight of the stone against the delicacy of the forged frame creates a coffee table that feels both grounded and light, a centerpiece designed to anchor a room.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

• Italian Carrara marble top with natural grey veining
• Marble top supported by a wooden subframe beneath the stone
• Hand-forged metal base with hand-hammered texture
• Forged Pewter finish
• Rectangular form with a rounded edge profile

As an artisan-crafted piece, variations in tone, texture, and metalwork are expected. Each table is unique, and the marble itself carries the natural variation of the slab it was cut from.

CONDITION

This table is new. It arrived to us in its crate and was unboxed for photography.

The Carrara marble top carries a long, fine fissure line within the stone, an organic characteristic that forms naturally in Carrara marble. Delicate veining branches from the line in a few places, and the line does not extend the full length of the top. The surface remains largely smooth along its length, with a slight catch to a fingernail in places.

Where the line reaches the rounded edge of the top, the stone shows a light separation, a natural imperfection at the point where the top rounds over. The area has been photographed closely so its character is fully visible.

The marble top rests on a wooden subframe beneath the stone, which is how the table is constructed. The forged base presents beautifully, with the tonal variation inherent to the hand-hammered finish.

As with any new item that has been handled, transported, or stored, very minor signs of handling may be present upon close inspection.
