A charming and unusual boxed set of four limoges porcelain bridge dishes by the société limousine de porcelaines (slp), limoges, france, dating from the mid-20th century.

each dish is individually moulded in the form of one of the four playing-card suits — heart, diamond, club, and spade — and delicately decorated with scattered polychrome floral sprays, fine gilt edging, and small gilt geometric motifs.

a particularly decorative interpretation of the traditional bridge set, with floral rather than playing-card decoration. An unusual and highly collectible french porcelain set, equally appealing as decorative dishes or as a bridge-themed gift.
