American-style step coffee table by Lane, Altavista (USA), with two staggered tops, a slatted riser, and tapered legs.
This step coffee table is produced by Lane, a company founded in Altavista, Virginia, and a leading name in American modern furniture. The lower table extends into a turned slatted riser, supported by shaped uprights, which supports the upper shelf. The tapered legs and curved joints express the influence of Scandinavian modernism, widespread in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s, in an American style. Good condition. May show signs of wear. Please refer to the photographs carefully. This piece has an attribution mark,
