"Palett" coffee table by Yngve Ekström for ESE-Möbler, 1950s, with a contoured elm burl top and black lacquered legs.
Designed by Yngve Ekström, a leading figure in Swedish modernism and founder of ESE-Möbler, later Swedese, the "Palett" coffee table takes its name from its palette-shaped top. The elm burl top, with small brass inserts, rests on three tapered black lacquered legs. The organic, asymmetrical shape is one of the freest expressions of 1950s Swedish design. Good condition. May show signs of aging. Please refer to the photographs carefully. This piece has an attribution mark,
