The design captivates with its organic, expansive presence, rooted in the room like a stylized tree. The base is a solid, generously sized round teak foot, providing exceptional stability to this tall, freestanding piece. from this rises a powerful central column, from which artfully curved wooden elements fan out dynamically. Numerous finely turned knobs—both on the central rod and on the elegant extensions—offer maximum flexibility in hanging coats, jackets, hats, and scarves, preventing creases or pressure marks on the fabric. Nissen & Gehl combined uncompromising Danish carpentry tradition with avant-garde natural abstraction in this piece. We carefully cleaned the wardrobe and oiled the teak surfaces, bringing out its deep, honey-golden luster and expressive grain. It is in excellent vintage condition, with a stable structure, solid joints, and a beautiful, authentically aged patina without any major damage.
