The base is a rectangular block, veneered with elm burl on all four sides and encircled by polished brass rods that rise in a single line from the base to the lamp plate. The square lampshade is covered in ecru fabric and rimmed with brass.
Nothing is sculpted: the entire composition relies on the design of the edges and the contrast between the irregular pattern of the burl, its knots and burls, and the regularity of the metal. This contrast is what defines the lamp.
Original veneer and brass. The lampshade is the original one. Electrical installation checked, European plug.
European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
