Its sculptural multi-layered construction and bold combination of warm yellow and orange are characteristic of scandinavian lighting design from the period.

the lamp is composed of several carefully arranged metal shades that overlap one another, concealing the light source from direct view. This layered construction creates a soft, glare-free illumination while allowing light to escape between the individual shades, highlighting the architectural silhouette of the lamp.

a particularly distinctive feature is the flared orange upper reflector, which contrasts beautifully with the mustard-yellow shades below. The combination gives the lamp a playful space age character while retaining the clean proportions and functional approach associated with danish modern design.

the design belongs to a broader tradition of danish multi-shade lighting in which the individual reflectors were used to control and diffuse the light rather than relying on a conventional exposed shade.
