with its glossy black enamel body, gold "mirsa ideal" decal and gleaming chrome details, this portable typewriter is a beautiful example of 1930s german design. It was made by seidel & naumann of dresden, one of europe's leading typewriter manufacturers, whose erika and ideal portables were among the most respected machines of the interwar era. The "s&n" emblem on the ribbon cover and the "s" marks on the decal bar are original manufacturer markings.

the machine features a four-row qwertz keyboard with classic round, chrome-ringed keys and green-accented function keys. These are details that make pre-war portables so sought after by collectors today. Its compact, low profile made it a true travel companion for writers, journalists and correspondents of the period.
