Consul portable typewriter, czechoslovakia, 1960s
a two-tone grey portable with the gold consul script on the right of the body. Made in czechoslovakia by zbrojovka in brno, the arms factory that turned to office machines after the war and sold them across europe under the consul name.
this is one of the flatter portables of its decade, 9 cm high, with a four-row qwertz keyboard and a plastic-topped key set. A nice detail on these machines is the paper-position scale painted beside the platen, so you can see at a glance how far down the page you are.
the machine is in excellent condition, close to original, and it types.
dimensions: 34 cm wide, 31 cm deep, 9 cm high. This piece has an attribution mark,
