The entire surface is finished in a brilliant mirror polish, the gold catching and bending its surroundings so the piece shifts with the light and the viewer's position, set against a dark patinated base that lets the polished form read as pure light. An abstract meditation on union and the joining of two into one — sensual, elemental, and quietly monumental despite its scale.
