Pair of ceramic glazed elephant pedestals or bookends. Chinoiserie-inspired and rich in detail, they are finished in a soft celadon green glaze with hand-painted caparisons (decorative blankets) in earthy ochre and deep cobalt blue. They feature intricate floral and geometric motifs throughout and their flat, square tops are decorated with a traditional "Shou" character, symbolizing longevity.
Whether styled as bookends in a library, used to elevate small indoor plants, or displayed as standalone sculptural art, these ceramic pieces offer a perfect blend of vintage charm and bohemian flair.
