The Box is Completely … Read more This Really is a Great Looking Antique Cash and Document Lock Box. Circa Late 19th Century.
The Box is Completely Hand Made Out of Steel and it Still Retains its Beautifully Hand Oil Painted Faux Oak Wood Grain Painted Features. It is Also has Dark Reddish Brown Painted Piping and Pin Striping as well as 2 Wide Gold Painted Bands. The Top is Mounted with its Original Very Good Quality - Substantially Made Solid Brass Swing Carry Handle. The Inside Top Rim has an Attached Embossed Label that Reads MADE IN ENGLAND. The Interior is Fitted with a Removable 3 Sectioned Divided & Hinged Tray. It is in Very Good - Much Better than Average Overall Original Condition for its Age. The Original Hand Painted Features Display Beautifully!. There are a Few Very Minor Paint Surface Scuffs - Blemishes but Nothing Major. It has a Brass Locking Mechanism but Please Note That The Lock is Not Functional - Comes with No Key.
Please Also Note that The White Spots on The Top Edges of the Box are a Result of The Reflections From My Photography Lighting - Not Damage.
It Measures Overall Approx. 5 1/4 inches Tall x 12 1/4 inches Long x 7 1/2 inches Wide.
