The distinctive form features a scalloped upper rim with decorative painted detailing and applied three-dimensional tulip handles on either side. The rounded body is further embellished with floral decoration, creating an appealing combination of painted and sculptural ornamentation.

An especially interesting feature is the upper surface, which incorporates multiple circular openings surrounding a larger, deep central aperture. This unusual configuration suggests a possible original function as a floral or decorative display vessel, although its precise intended use has not been established.

The reverse features two pierced holes for wall mounting.

A delightful example of late Victorian decorative pottery, suitable for displaying dried botanicals or as an unusual decorative accent in a collection of antique ceramics.
