Rare vintage set of six French dining chairs attributed to Maison Jansen design circa late 19th C. made in Louis XVI style. Two chairs in the set have wood arm rests to appoint master's place at the head of a table and the rest four guest's chairs are armless. The whole set features patinated star-woven cane backs. The top of each back is adorned with lovely brass knobs on both corners, adding uniqueness to the look. Seats are upholstered in black matte leather that show well-preserved vintage state. Wood frame has some minor scratches adequate to the period, mostly on the armrests (see pics). Typical to 19th C. fluted legs swank elegant tapering. These chairs combine a comfortable feel with a design chic antique design.
Original vinyl upholstery.
