The rectangular composition portrays Jesus Christ seated at the center of the table, surrounded by his twelve apostles, capturing the solemnity and spiritual significance of this important biblical scene.

The richly sculpted relief reveals remarkable attention to detail, from the expressive faces and animated gestures of the apostles to the deeply modeled folds of their flowing robes. Christ is distinguished by a radiant halo, while the surrounding figures engage in conversation and contemplation. The elaborate setting features classical architectural columns, draped curtains, and a beautifully decorated tablecloth, creating a striking sense of depth and perspective.

The silvered copper relief is presented in an ornate rectangular frame featuring a contrasting blackened finish embellished with raised floral and scrolling motifs, complemented by silvered and gilt-tone borders. The combination of richly textured metalwork and decorative framing enhances the dramatic character of the composition.

Repoussé is a traditional metalworking technique in which metal is hammered from the reverse side to create a raised, three-dimensional design.

The antique Spanish religious artwork is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, retaining a beautifully aged silvered patina. A meaningful decorative piece for a chapel, prayer room, or traditional interior.
