Vintage gold gilt bamboo square frame signed & numbered print of "Chinese Bowl II" by Dan Mitra. This etching is hand colored and part of a limited edition, measuring 16 x 16 inches. This piece is # 7/950, with no two being alike due to the hand coloring. The print is in good condition, with pictures showing reflections but no flaws. Minor wear and scratches are a normal part of vintage items unless stated differently.
I estimate this piece is from the 1960s, based on the frame, which is from that era.
Before coming to the U.S. from Romania, Dan Mitra worked as a graphic designer for both motion pictures and theater. He has excelled in various media, including painting, sculpture, and drawing, and began exploring etching after entering the U.S. His work is known for its distinctively fine line, unflawed technique, and attention to subtle detail, making it a pleasing addition to any interior. Each etching is unique, colored by hand, and no two are ever exactly the same.
