Extremely rare artifact from Roseville Pottery, Keynote was a new line that was produced after the original Roseville's bankruptcy in … Read more Extremely rare artifact from Roseville Pottery, Keynote was a new line that was produced after the original Roseville's bankruptcy in 1954. After the bankruptcy, the trademark was purchased by a group from Connecticut. The group then enlisted industrial designer Belle Kogan. She was hired to design a line of vases, candlesticks, ashtrays and serving pieces. They operated from 1954–1956. Sadly, the new Roseville company did not succeed, and the trademark expired.

Belle created in many mediums besides ceramics, including metal, glass and Bakelite. She also worked with Red Wing Pottery, which is why our piece looks so similar to many of Red Wing's designs.

There are no chips nor cracks nor crazing. Original gold label adhered, but dog-eared in one corner. Raised maker's mark and item number on back reads: Roseville USA, 202-10. It is noted elsewhere that the mold 202-10 is called a Divided/Compartment Tray.
