An exceptional Chinese Famille Rose crisp white porcelain Mei Ping (Baluster) Vase presented on a hand carved rosewood 'lotus style' base, with a symbolic carved rosewood top.
This style of porcelain is know for its opaque overglazed pinks and carmines. Features red peonies that represent wealth, honour and beauty. The flowers are displayed overflowing out of two different style of baskets - highly detailed art work of the finest quality.
Six character underglaze seal, iron red pigment - (made in the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty) Yongzheng Period 1723 - 1735.
From the estate of a gentleman in England, acquired from Bearnes Auctions, UK previously.
