This antique square table features a low-profile design traditionally used on elevated living platforms. Constructed from solid elm, the piece features a broad tabletop with a prominent natural grain and a rich, dark-toned finish. The frame is supported by straight, circular legs and a humpbacked stretcher on each side, further reinforced by vertical "dwarf" struts for added structural integrity and visual rhythm. The overall form is a classic example of minimalist provincial furniture, characterized by its sturdy proportions and weathered patina.
