Built in the Federal style, it features a simple mahogany frame and four square, tapering legs that let the colorful ceramic insert take center stage. The platter shows the Flying Bird pattern, combining underglaze blue transfer printing with hand-painted polychrome enamels. At its center, an exotic bird sits among lush botanicals, framed by a detailed cobalt blue border. The craftsmanship is evident in the precisely routed mahogany opening, shaped to match the scalloped edge of the Regency-era stone china. The table measures 15.125" wide, 11.75" deep, and 20.75" tall. I love the colorful platter and the craftsmanship of the stand. See less
