This antique carved wooden bear umbrella and hat stand is a remarkable and highly collectible piece. Its most distinctive feature is the rare carving of baby bear cubs climbing the tree, making it far less common than standard bear stands.
The hat rack unscrews at the section with the cubs for easier transportation and storage; the seam is visible in the photos.
This stand has been in our family since the early 1960s. Based on family history, we believe it originated in Switzerland, where these finely carved Black Forest-style pieces were traditionally made.
A beautiful statement piece for an entryway, cabin, lodge, or anyone who appreciates antique folk art and exceptional craftsmanship.
