9 1/4" Plate from King Louis Philippe of France. Has all the correct stamps and marks on back see photo. In excellent condition.
This is one of the most iconic set of Sevres Chateau des Tuileries , in french bleu decor with flying putties surrounding the beautiful LP monogram with the royal crown gilded , it stands for Louis Philippe that was king of France from 1830 to 1848 , the plate also present a very lovely flower gold garland . You will find on the back stamps showing Sevres and on in red mentioning Chateau des Tuileries and also a stamp with a date. Chateau des Tuileries was situated at the end of the Louvre facing place de la concorde , destroyed in 1871 . During the monarchy each castels used by the kings and emperor would have their own dinning sets often several used depending the occasions , it's why you will find on the back a stamp that mentions the castel where it was used, when pieces would be missing they would be replace so it is not rare to find the same decor with a different date, but initials should always match the dates.
