Constructed entirely from premium solid Oak, the piece features a deeply aged, warm honey-brown patina that showcases a texturally rich grain and stunning quarter-sawn medullary ray flecks.

The cabinet boasts authentic, true-to-period construction, highlighting hand-pegged mortise-and-tenon joints visible at the frame corners. The spectacular front panels display crisp, low-relief carvings emblematic of the late Louis XVI to Directoire eras. The top frieze features a traditional regional French motif of harvested wheat ears—symbolizing prosperity and abundance—piercing a central cartouche shield. Directly below, the gracefully arched door frame is crested with hand-carved foliage sprigs.

Running down the side are its original, elongated brass fiche barrel hinges, providing incredible structural integrity alongside a commanding antique presence. The back is constructed from wide, hand-planed vertical backing planks displaying generations of natural wood oxidation.

Top Section: Features a large upper cabinet door accented with elegant carvings and adjustable brackets for a shelf (or shelves). Please note, the cabinet comes with two shelves, one each can be fitted in upper and lower cabinets, or two can be fitted in one of the cabinets.

Center Section: A spacious, smooth-gliding single drawer with dual brass pulls, ideal for smaller textiles, silverware, or everyday essentials.

Bottom Section: A lower single-door cabinet that opens to reveal generous storage complete with adjustable shelves
