This particular piece was commissioned as an exclusive, bespoke design edition for the world-renowned Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Inspired by Richard Strauss's famous mythological opera Daphne, the vessel's avant-garde, Y-shaped silhouette poetically captures the climax of the ancient Greek myth. The fluid, asymmetrical form beautifully mirrors the nymph Daphne transforming into a laurel tree to escape Apollo, with her arms sweeping upward to form two distinct, organic, branch-like spouts.
