Measuring an 28 inches handle to handle, this household piece was originally designed for heating water and boiling linens over a stove. The underside retains distinctive circular heat marks from its original use spanning two stove burners—a wonderful testament to the piece’s authentic utilitarian history.
The body features subtle horizontal ribbing, a rolled upper edge and beautifully aged construction details. Turned wooden grips accent both side handles, with a coordinating wooden handle on the removable lid.

The copper has developed a rich, naturally aged warm brown patina that gives the piece tremendous character. Surface variations, oxidation, small dents and other signs of its former utilitarian life remain and are considered part of its antique appeal. No maker’s mark has been found.

Far too handsome to hide away, this large-scale copper boiler makes a striking decorative piece today. Wonderful beside a fireplace for kindling or firewood, filled with blankets or pillows, or repurposed as an oversized cachepot or decorative storage vessel. See less
