Offered for sale is a monumental UP7 "iL PIEDE" footchair sculpture by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia. This iconic 1969-designed pop-art polyurethane foam seating sculpture shaped like a monumental human foot The piece is no longer in production, and it is fully labeled underneath and marked Made in 2000.
In 1969, Gaetano Pesce designed Il Piede (UP7), the last piece in his iconic Up Series. The sculpture is inspired by the human foot, enlarged to six times its natural size, which makes it a true Pop Art sculptural object.
