A mid-century modernist painting that captures the charm of a winding street, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1968.

The composition leads the viewer around a gentle curve, framed by a procession of closely gathered buildings whose simplified forms and overlapping rooftops create a rhythmic architectural landscape. Rather than focusing on activity or figures, the painting celebrates the character of the built environment itself, transforming an everyday streetscape into a carefully balanced study of shape, colour and light.

Executed in a restrained modernist style, the artist reduces the architecture to clean geometric planes and broad areas of flat colour.
