Beautiful and delicately handled Impressionist canvas of a young lady, with an open, inviting, and alive expression. Beautifully handled brushwork and soft focus of the facial expression. Period work on linen, condition as shown, with a few small patches to the rear and oxidation to linen and crackle to surface. Size 16" tall, 13" wide, on a stretched canvas. Frame size 25" tall by 23" wide. French regional style framing with spool construction. Signed to the lower right: Aymar Mermet.
