This table is a rustic example of southern American furniture, made from walnut. It has a plank top, following down to a simple apron and supported on sturdy square legs, which lend a more modern feel to this piece. The legs are joined at the bottom by a lower shelf, also made of planks. There is a manufacturing metal tag underneath the top which says Acme in the center, and the surrounding motto "the factory guarantees the quality" and Chattanooga, TN.

The Acme Kitchen Furniture Company was in business until 1920 in Chattanooga, TN. Great piece of Southern American history. See less
