Bev Doolittle (1947-2024) is one of America’s most collected artists. She was born and raised in California. Her art started to blossom during her travels throughout the west. Her distinctive use of design and pattern that let viewers discover hidden meanings is often called ‘camouflage art’.
“Calling the Buffalo” tells the story of calling the Buffalo Chief with the sacred way of sounding the horn whilst using sacred words. Reflecting the spiritual relationship between native American and the buffalo.
