This piece features … Read more A 2006 mixed media on wood panel painting by the contemporary German artist Bernd Haussmann (born 1957). This piece features abstract white and yellow patterns against a solid yellow and black background. Unframed, this painting is signed and dated verso.

Born in Tuebingen, Germany, Haussmann currently lives in the United States. From 2012-2015, he was the artist-in-residence at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. He has also taught at the Art Institute of Boston, Montserrat College of Art, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, as well as the Concord Center for the Visual Art. His works are held in the collections of several museums, including the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, Museum der Stadt Reutlingen in Germany, among others.
