This bench is such a great piece! The arms on the bench give it some nice height, and are very helpful for steadying someone to get up and down, should they need it. The arms are made from oak, and have flat tops, supported on bobbin turned supports. the arms continue down to the legs, which mirror the top with bobbin turnings, joined at the bottom by stretchers and cross stretchers that compliment the entire look of the piece., and are raised on hand turned feet. The seat frame is covered in what appears to be the original rush.
