19th century hand carved oak gate leg table from England.
This is a lovely side table. The top is made from wonderfully grained oak, surrounded by a hand carved border and a carved and beveled edge. When the top is open, it measures 33 inches x 33.63 inches.
The top is supported on a simple apron, which has scalloped ends for a lovely profile from the sides. It is supported on hand turned legs and gates, which are connected by complimenting hand turned stretchers. It is raised on hand turned feet.
Gate-leg tables have been around for centuries because they are such useful pieces for any home or office. They are the answer to the question of additional seating or serving!
