Beautiful and rare, vintage Murano hand blown jet black on clear base Italian art glass mushrooms toadstools sculpture / paperweight. The piece is documented, and labeled by designer Archimede Seguso, circa 1950s. Original, but worn label underneath that reads "Archimede Seguso - Murano - Made In Italy". The piece has one larger mushroom and a little one on the side. They look like Shiitake or Portobello mushrooms, with an umbrella top and little texture where the mushrooms attach to the base. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity, coffee table or curio cabinet. Very unusual black color. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. The figure / paperweight measures 4 1/2" long x 2 3/4" wide x 2 3/4" tall.
