Oil painting on hardboard of a country landscape with luminous clouds, mountains in the distance, resolving to a stream in the foreground. Signed ‘Satori’ in the lower left corne. Inscribed on the reverse and dated 1992. Recently cleaned and varnished. Framed.
I paint in the traditional style of old masters because I am drawn to the charisma of that era. For me, creating art is a patient ritual. At the heart of my process is the careful preparation of the painting surface. Ultimately my goal is for the person viewing my work to experience a pause, a moment to reflect.
