His work combined a systems-based approach with a belief in flexibility, comfort, and human-centered design, principles beautifully expressed in his now-discontinued Executive Seating Collection.

The chair’s five independent cushions, upholstered in original Chocolate Brown leather, lift easily from an ingenious spring steel frame for cleaning, repair, or replacement. The flexible steel back rails allow the chair to conform naturally to the user while reclining, while the base provides tilt, swivel, and manual height adjustment.

A particularly rare feature of this example is its original Knoll flat glides in place of casters, indicating that it was configured as a lounge chair rather than a desk chair. Upon request, chrome ball casters can be installed to adapt the chair for use at a desk.

Our team has meticulously inspected and polished every element. The original Chocolate Brown leather displays wear and patina consistent with its age and history but remains in overall good condition.
