Constructed with a long plank seat, open back, shaped arms and a central support leg. Another listing with a near twin of this bench exists.

The oak has developed a warm, time-worn patina with visible grain, old marks, wear and irregularities accumulated through generations of use. The sculptural curved arms add a particularly charming detail to the otherwise simple, restrained construction.

Nearly ten feet long, the bench has wonderful presence while its open construction keeps it visually light. A handsome example of early French country furniture with the character and simplicity that make these pieces so appealing.

Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear, old repairs, marks and variations to the wood consistent with its age and history. Please refer to photographs for condition.
