Easton and dating to the latter portion of 1999. The moulded art-glass form combines a rounded melon-profile body with fitted cover and pointed finial, enriched with hand-painted floral decoration and the dimensional trellis-like surface associated with this Fenton pattern.

This example retains multiple identifying features, including the moulded Fenton mark, original Fenton foil label and individual inscription “Hand Painted by K. Easton.” These physical identifiers correspond with published Fenton documentation identifying Trellis DX as a 1996–1999 production and No. 5585 specifically as “Box, Melon.”

The dating is further supported by the National Fenton Glass Society publication Fenton Art Glass Decorators 1968 to Present, which records Karen L. Easton’s Fenton start date as June 7, 1999. Taken together with the documented 1996–1999 Trellis DX production period, this places the present signed example in late 1999 rather than requiring reliance upon marketplace identification.
