An antique porcelain chocolate service by A. Klingenberg & Charles Dwenger, Limoges, France, dating to circa 1895–1910. The principal service comprises four matching chocolate cups and four saucers, accompanied by one additional chipped matching cup and one extra matching saucer, for a total of ten pieces shipped.
The tall chocolate cups are formed in fine porcelain with softly graduated cream-white grounds transitioning into warm peach and pink borders. Each is decorated with hand-painted floral bouquets in rose, pink and green tones and fitted with an ornate curved handle enriched with gilt decoration. Fine gilt edging further defines the upper rims.
The coordinating saucers repeat the floral decoration and peach-pink tonal borders, with scalloped rims finished in gilt. The hand-painted decoration varies subtly from piece to piece in brushwork, placement and colour density, consistent with individually decorated Limoges porcelain of the period.
The pieces are marked AK CD / Limoges / France for A. Klingenberg & Charles Dwenger. The service belongs to the late Victorian and Belle Époque period, when Limoges decorators produced elaborate porcelain tablewares combining floral painting, shaded grounds and extensive gilding.
The four principal cups and four principal saucers are in excellent antique condition, with no chips or cracks reported. One additional matching cup has a chip and is included together with one extra matching saucer at no additional cost.
