First released by the Federal Glass Company in 1962, offered is a set of eight (8) "Stockholm" whiskey / scotch / bourbon "old-fashioned" spirit low-ball tumblers designed by the Hungarian-American industrial designer, Eva Zeisel (1906 - 2011)
Made in the United States, this barware is clearly inspired by Scandinavian and Bauhaus designs of the early to mid 20th Century and were eventually fabricated in assorted colors and patterns with embellishments done by third parties (such as "Andes", "Ventura", etc) however, these transparent heavy-bottomed ones were the definitive style that were sold in bar cabinets and trays with glass holders -
These glasses measure 3" in diameter, 3 1/2" in height, and sit on a chunky round elevated stem base that measures 1 7/8" in diameter and 1" in height and hold 7 ounces.
