Here is a fabulous, Mid-Century Modern round coffee table featuring a beautifully bookmatched wood veneer top surrounding a removable engraved brass tray. The warm wood top is constructed in sections that highlight the natural grain, while the simple curved apron and tapered legs with brass metal-capped feet give the table a clean, classic mid-century profile.
The 23-inch brass tray provides a wonderful contrast to the restrained wood frame, with exceptionally detailed engraving throughout. Persian-style figural medallions are surrounded by intricate floral, scrolling and boteh motifs, with finely textured detailing filling the background. The tray lifts completely out of the circular center opening and can be removed for cleaning or displayed separately.
